This book breaks barriers by showing a girl’s true beauty. Some include splashing in mud, conducting science experiments, and playing with bugs. This story encourages girls to embrace their true self.

This story tell about Amy Wu, a funny and determined little girl, who makes it her goal to create the perfect bao with her family. This book teaches growth mindset and the importance of family tradition.
Jabari Jumps By Gaia Cornwall
Determined Jabari has finished his swim lessons and is now ready to jump off the diving board. He and his father plan his perfect jump before climbing up the steps. This books talks about overcoming ones fears and accomplishing goals.
Hair Love By Matthew A. Cherry
This story is about a father’s love for his daughter and his goal to give Zuri a hairstyle for an extra special occasion. This story teaches self-love.

Little Dreamers: Visionary Women Around the World By Vashti Harrison
